Celebrating Louise Andrews: Finalist for Women in Fire Safety’s Rising Star Award

We are proud to announce that Louise Andrews, a remarkable member of our team at Drax 360, has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Rising Star Award by Women in Fire Safety. This recognition highlights Louise’s outstanding contributions and exceptional potential in the fire safety industry.

Louise’s Journey at Drax 360

Since joining Drax 360 in 2021, Louise has consistently demonstrated her exceptional organisational skills and dedication to enhancing our fire safety practices. Her commitment to maintaining crucial certifications and compliance standards has been instrumental in ensuring that our operations meet the highest industry benchmarks. Louise’s role has encompassed managing Compliance (including BAFE SP203 Accreditation), HR, Training, and overseeing our Investors in People Accreditation. Additionally, she played a vital role in gaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations, showcasing her initiative and dedication to excellence.

Exemplary Leadership and Achievements

Louise’s contributions have gone above and beyond expectations. In 2022, she managed a challenging disciplinary case, that would lead to an improved company communications and operational efficiency. Louise has been pivotal in implementing and coordinating fire safety training programs, ensuring all staff are well-versed in emergency procedures and fire prevention techniques.

Following Drax 360’s acquisition by Obsequio Group, Louise was identified as a key member of the new management team. Promoted to head our Customer Service Team in early 2023, she has taken on additional responsibilities, including supporting tender presentations. Her leadership has led to a remarkable improvement in our performance metrics, with maintenance completion rates soaring from 60% to over 90%.

Standing Out as a Rising Star

Louise’s ability to ensure compliance with complex requirements has been crucial in maintaining our certifications and accreditations. Her dedication to attaining ISO 14001 saw her spending countless hours studying standards, creating required protocols, and rolling them out to all staff. Her efforts was a driving force in Drax 360 achieving full ISO 14001 accreditation in 2022.

Louise’s initiative and perseverance were also evident when she turned around a challenging situation with a large maintenance site. Her proactive approach and effective communication transformed customer satisfaction, earning Drax scores of over 90% on monthly KPIs. These improvements have since been implemented across other sites, further enhancing our operational efficiency.

Louise’s contributions have had a profound impact on Drax 360, ensuring a safer, more efficient and compliant environment for all. Her innovative mindset, dedication to continuous improvement and unwavering commitment to fire safety compliance set her apart as a future leader in the industry. Louise’s excellent communication skills have fostered strong relationships with major customers, regulatory bodies, internal teams and supporting contractors. She exemplifies the spirit of leadership and dedication that drives the fire safety industry forward.
